About Us
We met in April of 2008, when my little girl Noelle was 7 months old. Joe taught at the same school as my friend (and now Bridesmaid) Rachel. Rachel had tried to set us up a couple months before at her birthday dinner. When that meet up did not occur, fate stepped in.
I had gone to visit my friends school with my infant daughter Noelle, as we walked in to her classroom, she received a call from a "friend". This "friend" (Joe) had seen me walking with Rachel and was interested to find out who I was. He offered to bring ice cream to her classroom for the four of us. I was left out of this conversation by the way. When Joe arrived to Rachel's classroom, we immediately clicked. He is a very laid back, easy to talk to kind of guy. And I could read that from him the moment he walked in.
My daughter Noelle is the one that I say sold me on this new guy that walked into our lives. She and Joe ate ice cream and played with one another on the floor. Any guy that can accept a woman's children, is guy worth the while. I did just that....and as they would...the rest is history................
Our Engagement
Yes...I knew the engagement was coming :) But I was still surprised!! Joe had taken me for a romantic drive around town. He seemed a little nervous to me but I didn't notice it then. He was driving around looking for a place to, as he put it "hang-out at". Well we found that place to be University of Arizona's Mall. As we walked under the moonlight, we found a nice place to kick our feet up. As we sat there Joe began talking very seriously about our relationship, and asked where I saw us in the next forever! My heart almost jumped out of chest! As I looked at him he slipped a small black box out of his left pocket and opened it up to reveal a shiny stunner. And he asked me to marry him :) :)
