Flowers

What would a wedding be without flowers? I wish I had a budget to the stars, but thats just not our case. Instead, my mom and I found silk flowers that are GORGEOUS! We were lucky enough to begin our shopping with Michael's, the day we went in they were clearing out their Spring/Summer flowers in preparation of the fall line. I bought most of the flowers at 50% + a 20% coupon on top of that! Score! The next weekend I went in and checked out JoAnn's...WOW! I found the most beautiful and realistic looking roses. I had to go up and smell them to convince myself that they were silk. Again, we scored at JoAnn's! I bought most of my hydrangea bushes from here.
I plan on using silk flowers solely for centerpieces at guest tables, head table, cake table, guest book table, and gift table. My bridesmaids will also be carrying silk flowers being assembled by my FMIL. Flower girls will be carrying pomanders made with love by my FMIL as well. The only real flowers to be used will be my bouquet, my FH bout, dads bouts, uncle bouts, groomsmen bouts, and corsages for moms, grandmas, and aunts.

My flower choices are hydrangeas in pink, light green, and ivory, pink roses, and pink ranunculus.

Disclaimer: if this is your picture...please let me know so that I can give you credit.

This is what I hope to carry down the aisle :)

I love peonies, and roses, as well as a mix of hydrangeas.

The BM bouquets will be a mix of hydrangeas & roses.

Centerpiece #1

I love the look having two types of centerpieces! I don't want such a uniformity at every single table...we will use a mix of low & high centerpieces. This one to the left is my inspiration...we will mix in a small bowl like vase hydrangeas of pink, green & cream. The vase will be tied with a beautiful olive color organza bow. In the vase itself, we will put river rocks to give it a different look.

Centerpiece #2

Again, this is just an inspiration...but the mock run through we did looks a lot like this. We found cylinder vases at the Dollar Tree...SCORE! We filled it up with a submerged single stem green hydrangea, and anchored it down with river rocks. The top of the vase will have a white hydrangea. Both centerpieces will lie on top of mirrors, and will be surrounded by tea lights :)

Cake

This is my inspiration cake. Actually, I've already talked to my bakery...and we will be alternating the squares...again I like the look of things not being so matchy! It will be a 5 tier white chocolate cake, with beuvarian cream filling! The cake will have paisley designs, and alternating polka dots all in ivory :-)

Grooms cake...shhh its a surprise

I plan on surprising Joe with a grooms cake shaped to look like a Mets hat or ball or both...his favorite team :-) he has no idea!
